WASHINGTON D.C.: BEHIND THE SCENES
Monday—Friday, May 10-14, 2010

Join us as we journey via deluxe motorcoach to our nation’s capitol, Washington DC and the historic sites of the surrounding area. Our first day we travel through Ohio and Pennsylvania to DC, lunching on a groaning board of country cooking and desserts. In DC included tour highlights are: private guided tours of the CAPITOL and NATIONAL CATHEDRAL; the somber tribute found in the HOLOCAUST MUSEUM; the pageantry and patriotism of the MARINE BARRACKS EVENING PARADE (weather permitting); guided tour of HILLWOOD MUSEUM and GARDENS, the home of Marjorie Merriweather Post and current home to her spectacular Faberge and Russian decorative artifacts collection; a leisurely narrated luncheon CRUISE down the waters of the Potomac, plus guided tours of the KENNEDY CENTER and FORD’S THEATRE. We will share a very special dinner in nearby Alexandria’s historic Gadsby’s Tavern. Time is allowed for your own exploration of the museums of the Smithsonian; nearby Arlington Cemetery, the Supreme Court, International Spy Museum and of course the new WWII Memorial. The warmth of spring makes a perfect time to renew your memories of a city you can never visit too often.

TOUR INCLUDES: Deluxe motorcoach transportation; all overnight accommodations; all admissions to attractions and itinerary events listed above; 8 meals; baggage handling; taxes and gratuities. Reservations due February 14, 2010.
