A great way to get a jump on your holiday spirit and shopping! We head to the Windy City and our overnight accommodations at the world famous Hilton Palmer House Hotel, before dinner together at one of Chicago’s fabulous eateries. The next morning we visit the newest special exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry—the Smart Home. Our guided tour of this full size, three story modular home shares exciting new technology for living ‘green’ with applications from everyday changes we can make to complete new home construction. And it’s all decorated in an eco friendly way for the holidays! There will be time to renew your acquaintance with the Museum’s other exhibits including the famous submarine now housed in a newly expanded, multimillion dollar display and the Henry Crown Space exhibition featuring an Apollo 8 capsule. The balance of the afternoon will be on your own to explore the Magnificent Mile shops, including special VIP guest discounts, or other attractions of this exciting metropolis. Dinner finds us together again at the grill sensation of Weber’s Grill Restaurant. Our evening ends with a performance of the US premiere of Broadway’s hottest new musical Dirty Dancing. This classic movie has moved to the stage with an energy and romance that has been wowing London audiences. The following day we make an early afternoon departure, again allowing a bit of shopping time before returning home.
