With the snap of fall we head south to some of the most beautiful fall color anywhere in the country. Our visit to the Tri-Cities area includes lunch at the historic Netherland Inn, the nation’s only registered historic landmark that was both a stage stop and a boatyard; a naturalist guided tour of the 3500 acre Bays Mountain wolf retreat; a visit to the Exchange Place historic village; and an evening of mystery and comic mayhem at the Allendale Mansion. We’ll also enjoy the mountain art of storytelling and a visit to nearby Jonesboro with time to explore the quaint shops of this lovely little town. Our accommodations will be with our friends at the Hampton Inn. A unique destination full of autumn color, mountain arts and crafts, historic villages and inns and great food.
