TEA, TOYOTAS, AND FIRST LADIES
An informative and eclectic day as we combine elements of history, elegance and automotive
innovation. We start our journey with a bit of history and visit to the girlhood home of Mary Todd Lincoln. Often portrayed as the dour widow in black a visit to the home where she grew up introduces you to a gay, party loving and social young woman. It's also reported to be the first location where her soon to be fiancé witnessed his first slave auction-an experience
which ultimately altered the country and his own history.
We then travel just a few blocks to our luncheon stop at the unique culinary experience of the Greentree Tearoom. We round out the day with a visit to Georgetown's Toyota Manufacturing
where we share a convenient, narrated tram ride through the facility. A day of enlightenment into history and man made marvels not to be missed.
